Exposing Hillary So She Won't Get Elected

Hillary Says Illegals Pay More Taxes Than Corporations. Washington Post Calls That “Nonsense”

On the campaign trail, Hillary threw out a line that was such total and complete bullshit that even The Washington Post had to call her on it.

At a roundtable discussion in North Las Vegas, Clinton made the claim that illegal immigrants pay more in taxes than “some corporations.”

It’s not only a stupid comment and completely untrue, but the two don’t even go together. Rather, it was more bullshit class warfare:Hillary threw it out in an attempt to paint corporations as big, tax-dodging evildoers and illegals and hard-working, taxpayers who deserve … I don’t know … everything.

Here’s what she said in Nevada:

The facts are really clear, we know how much people who are working hard contribute to our economy both in what they buy and what they pay in taxes. In fact, in New York, which I know a little bit about because I represented it for eight years and I live there now, our undocumented workers in New York pay more in taxes that some of the biggest corporations in New York.

The Post decided to fact-check the comment. It compared the taxes paid by New York corporations and the combined taxes paid by illegal immigrants in the state. Even giving broad discretion to its methodology, they concluded the statement was “nonsense.”

Comparing the taxes of hundreds of thousands of people to the tax bill of one corporation is a stretch and fairly misleading. Even the companies that pay little or no federal income taxes end up paying lots of other taxes. So it’s a nonsense comparison.

We wavered between Three and Four Pinocchios, but ultimately settled on Four. As a former senator, Clinton should know better.
