Exposing Hillary So She Won't Get Elected

Former Dem Congresswoman Facing 357 Years in Prison for Corruption

To hear the biased media describe them, one would think that virtually all Democrat politicians are of the most noble variety, selfless and true, overwhelmed with compassion and service for others and with nary a thought for their own wealth and well-being.

Once you finish laughing at that absurd (but correct) general summation of how the media portray certain favored progressive politicians, kindly direct your attention to this piece from the Washington Examiner detailing the lengthy prison sentence and steep fines an indicted former Democrat representative from Florida is now facing.

The duplicitous Democrat and former U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown was indicted by the Middle District of Florida’s U.S. Attorney’s office in July 2016 for allegedly stealing money for herself from a fund designated to provide scholarships to needy schoolchildren, and if convicted could face up to 357 years in prison and a $4.8 million fine.

Brown was charged with 24 counts that included “conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, multiple counts of mail and wire fraud, concealing material facts on required financial disclosure forms, theft of government property, obstruction of the due administration of the internal revenue laws, and filing false tax returns,” according to a news release about the indictment.

The news release proceeded to explain how Brown and her chief of staff Elias “Ronnie” Simmons had engaged in a conspiracy to defraud unwitting donors to a supposed non-profit charity known as One Door For Education — Amy Anderson Scholarship Fund, to the tune of more than $800,000 purportedly destined to be used for college scholarships and computers for schools.

Except the purported charity was never officially registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and much of the money raised is alleged to have ultimately ended up in the private bank accounts of Brown and Simmons, among other conspirators, or being used to fund various events for their own personal benefit.

The Examiner pointed out that Brown, 70, had been a veritable rock star in the Democrat Party for years, partying and fundraising with House leader Nancy Pelosi, palling around with then-President Barack Obama on Air Force One, proudly supporting her party’s presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, even voting for her as a superdelegate at the Democrat national convention.

Unfortunately for Brown, she lost her bid for re-election when she was defeated in the August Democrat primary. She became an ex-congresswoman when the new Congress was sworn in in January. (Naturally, she was replaced by the Democrat who defeated her in the primary, according to the Miami Herald.)

Even more unfortunately for Brown, other individuals named in the indictment have pleaded guilty to the charges lodged against them and are expected to testify against her in court.

Remarkably, this isn’t the first time Brown has come under fire for skirting laws to benefit herself, as The Florida Times-Union published an extensive list in 2016 detailing some of the, shall we say, ethically challenged actions she has taken over the years, dating all the way back to 1990 when Brown was just a state representative in the Florida House.

After being elected to the House of Representatives in 1992, Brown went on to survive numerous charges and investigations of her ethics violations — until now.

This woman stands accused of funneling money supposedly raised for college scholarships and school children into the pockets of herself and her friends, and now it looks like she will be going to prison for a long, long time.

Wonder if the mainstream media will provide much coverage of her trial and sentencing, seeing as she has been a prominent Democrat for decades, or if they will merely send her down the memory hole to disappear forever once she has been sent away to prison for the rest of her life.
