Trump Responds to Women’s March on DC… Asks in Tweet Why They Didn’t Vote

While America (or at least most of America) celebrated the peaceful transition of power on Jan. 20, on Jan. 21, hundreds of thousands of women in America took to the streets to protest President Donald Trump.

Holding ridiculous signs and spewing loads of hatred, these protests, which were ironically enough supposed to be against “hate,” jammed up entire city blocks all across America and were splashed across almost every front page in the world.

Trump took to Twitter, of course, to give his reaction to the protests, and what he tweeted triggered a lot of liberals, the U.K. Daily Mail reported.

“Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election! Why didn’t these people vote? Celebs hurt cause badly,” Trump tweeted.

He later acknowledged the protesters’ First Amendment right to demonstrate.

“Peaceful protests are a hallmark of our democracy. Even if I don’t always agree, I recognize the rights of people to express their views,” he wrote in a separate tweet.

Unsurprisingly, liberals immediately took to Twitter to fight back against Trump’s suggestion that many of the people who protesting didn’t bother to vote.
