Limbaugh Makes Bold Statement Regarding the Establishment Being Defeated by Trump

Establishment politicians on both sides of the aisle will not allow President Trump to succeed, Rush Limbaugh said Thursday night when appearing on the Fox News program Hannity.

“I think they are — look, there isn’t much conservatism in the establishment. There are Republicans and Democrats, but it’s basically people who are pro-government, pro-Washington who think government in Washington is the center of the world,” Limbaugh said.

Later, he added, “… they don’t want Trump to succeed with his agenda. They can’t afford that. I’m not exaggerating here and I’m not trying to say things that will be a sound bite that Fox replays the rest of the day.”

“They can’t afford for him to succeed with his agenda,” he told Fox News host Sean Hannity. “They can’t afford it. The lid’s blown. The gig is over. The joke is revealed if an outsider with no prior political experience can come in and fix messes that people have been promised would be fixed for 30 years, how does that make ’em look? They can’t allow that to happen.”

Limbaugh said that for Republicans, refusal to work with Trump is going to cost them the ability to stay in power for years to come.

“I really believe that if for just three months, going forward, or if they had three months in the past, just three months, gut it up for three months and work with Trump on his agenda, on cutting taxes seriously, across the board, immigration reform, the wall, what have you, getting rid of Obamacare, which is just — it’s an absolute crime what has happened here and what that’s gonna mean to the country. Just try for three months, make it look like there’s unity between the president and the people in his own party, and they would own Washington for a generation,” he said.

Limbaugh also repeated his criticism of the mainstream media outlets being so “corrupted by liberalism” they no longer fulfill the function Americans relied upon them to perform.

“The media isn’t media,” he said. “When you think of media, they got people out there looking at things where you’re not — and they tell you what happened. That’s the news.”

“They don’t do the news,” Limbaugh said. “There is no news.”

“There is the advancement of the Democrat Party agenda, which is ‘get rid of Trump’ — and they are totally devoted to it,” he said.

Limbaugh also said the NFL is mistaken if it thinks national anthem protests connect with fans.

“I don’t think they understand what’s going on,” Limbaugh said “They think they are relating to the majority of their fan base.

“They’re not. They are driving them away — and I hate it.”

He said he doesn’t want to see the NFL “taken over by a bunch of wusses and left-wing social justice causes.”

Players, he explained, can protest without doing it during the national anthem.

“Use something besides the NFL sideline. Use something besides the flag. Use something besides something that people use to escape everything leftists are trying to force on us,” he said.
