Exposing Hillary So She Won't Get Elected

Anthony Weiner Sentenced to 21 Months for Sexting Scandal

Former New York Rep. Anthony Weiner was sentenced to 21 months in prison Monday after pleading guilty to one charge of transferring obscene material to a minor.

Federal prosecutors asked for just over a two-year sentence for Weiner, who was charged with having inappropriate sexual contact with a 15-year-old North Carolina girl. the two communicated over Skype and Snapchat, where Weiner asked the girl to “sexually perform” for him, according to Time.

Weiner’s lawyers have said that the former congressman has been undergoing treatment for this problem, calling it a “deep sickness.” They contended that Weiner is a changed man who would benefit from a sentence that didn’t place him behind bars.

Additionally, his attorneys said they felt Weiner was part of a larger scandal. The 15-year-old North Carolina girl, they claim, “hoped somehow to influence the U.S. presidential election” and eventually write a tell-all book about her encounters with Weiner, according to ABC News.

Where the election is concerned, many believe that Weiner’s actions could have played a part in Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton losing the election.

While the FBI was investigating Weiner’s actions, they came across several of Clinton’s emails that were forwarded to his computer, apparently by his wife, then-vice char of the Clinton campaign, Huma Abedin. From there, the FBI handed over the that information to former FBI Director James Comey, who reopened the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server.

Abedin filed for divorce the same day Weiner plead guilty.
