ESPN Host Suspended After Drunken Incident at Wyoming

ESPN slapped radio host Ryen Russillo with a suspension after he was found in another person’s Jackson Hole, Wyoming, condo with his pants around his ankles and was unable to explain to police how he got there.

Russillo, 42, was charged with criminal trespass on Aug. 23. He has been suspended until Sept. 5.

According to a probably cause affidavit, police were called to a condo at around 3:30 a.m.

“Officers found the defendant, later identified as Ryen August Russillo, lying on the bed in the south bedroom naked except for his pants around his ankles,” the affidavit said.

Police said Russillo had “bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.”

Police said a condo resident told them he heard someone come in and assumed it was a family member. It was unclear if the door was locked. Police reported that there was no forced entry.

A few moments after the resident heard someone come in, Russillo walked into the bedroom with his pants half down.

“He was obviously intoxicated and the only thing he said was that he was getting his stuff,” records said.

“He couldn’t coherently answer any questions,” said Lt. Roger Schultz. Police said that Russillo thought that he might have been staying at the condo.

Residents asked Russillo to leave, but he did not.

“He was too intoxicated to follow through with the request,” Schultz said.

Russillo is the host of The Ryen Russillo Show on ESPN Radio.

He was released form jail after posting $250 bail and will return to court on Sept. 13. The maximum sentence fo the crime with which he was charged is six months in jail and a $750 fine.
