In a bold move, two bars in Chicago just made the announcement that they will not be showing any NFL games to show support for free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

The two bars, The Bureau Bar and The Velvet Lounge, made their announcement on Thursday, August 25, that they “will be supporting Colin Kaepernick’s cause and will not be showing any NFL games until something changes. We look forward to serving you.”

Kaepernick is known for his protesting of the national anthem by sitting and he chose to opt out of his contract with the 49ers after a season filled with scandal. Many believe that the former quarterback has been blackballed by all 32 teams. He remains a free agent as the 2017-2018 NFL regular season approaches.
