Fired Google Employee James Damore Confesses to Helming Fired4Truth

Former Google employee James Damore has confirmed that the controversial Twitter account @Fired4Truth is his own.

The New York Times’s Daisuke Wakabayashi first reported on the scoop:

The creation of the account comes not long after the recently fired Google employee gave an interview with conservative YouTube personalities Stefan Molyneux and Jordan B. Peterson.

The account also marks Damore’s growing online presence and his becoming somewhat of a poster boy for the alt-right movement.

Damore found himself in the public eye recently after a 10-page memo of his penning made its way through the media.

The memo outlined Damore’s thoughts on the differences in performance between men and women where the IT industry was concerned.

Damore accused Google of being a “politically correct monoculture” in his memo, which was titled “Google’s Ideological Echo Chamber.”

Part of the memo reads:

At Google, we talk so much about unconscious bias as it applies to race and gender, but we rarely discuss our moral biases. Political orientation is actually a result of deep moral preferences and thus biases. Considering that the overwhelming majority of the social sciences, media, and Google lean left, we should critically examine these prejudices.

Not long after Damore’s removal from the tech giant, it was reported that WikiLeaks would be reaching out with a job offer:

For its part, Google has claimed that Damore’s memo “violate[s] our code of conduct and cross the line by advancing harmful gender stereotypes,” according to NPR.
