Maxine Waters; American Women Can Relate to Comey’s Request to Not Be Alone with Trump

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) derided President Donald Trump on Wednesday when she claimed that women nationwide didn’t want to be alone with him.

Women “across the country,” Water said, shared former FBI Director James Comey’s request not to have private meetings with Trump.

Waters was referencing a report that Comey told Attorney General Jeff Sessions that private meetings with Trump were inappropriate and that he didn’t want them to happen again.

Comey confirmed that report in his prepared Congressional testimony, which was released on Wednesday.

When Trump was the Republican nominee in 2016, multiple women alleged that he made unwanted sexual advances toward them. Trump denied the claims, but they added to growing speculation surrounding the way Trump treated women.

Waters has been a vocal critic of Trump and suggested before that he doesn’t respect women.
