Trump’s Social Media Manager Sends Tweet to London Mayor: ‘WAKE UP!!!’

Just a few hours after the terrorist attack on London Bridge on Saturday, people all over the world shared their sentiments and condolences via social media.

President Donald Trump, who reminded the world that attacks like this one were the reason he promoted a travel ban, also took a shot at London’s mayor, Sadiq Khan:

Khan released a statement after the attack:

Since then, Khan has added more updates and noted that London has come together to deal with the tragedy:

But social media manager for President Trump, Dan Scavino, thought Mayor Khan was missing something:

When asked to weigh in on the criticisms, Mayor Khan answered through a spokesperson in the same manner that he has on at least one occasion before:

“He has more important things to do than respond to Donald Trump’s ill-informed tweet that deliberately takes out of context his remarks urging Londoners not to be alarmed when they saw more police — including armed officers — on the streets.”

Back in March, after another terrorist attack occurred on the Westminster Bridge, Khan reacted to a tweet from Donald Trump Jr. in the same manner:“I’m not going to respond to tweets by Donald Trump Jr.”

Trump Jr. posted an article from September 2016 when Khan essentially resigned himself to the inevitability of ongoing terror attacks in his city: “terror attacks are part and parcel of living in a big city.”
