Exposing Hillary So She Won't Get Elected

‘The View’ Crew Begs Chelsea Clinton to Run for Office: ‘Your Political Tweets Give People Hope’

The media’s growing love of Chelsea Clinton was on full display on the set of ABC’s “The View” on Wednesday during a segment with the former first daughter.

Co-host Sara Haines practically begged Chelsea – who appeared on the show to promote her latest book, “She Persisted: 13 American Women Who Changed the World” – to run for political office, telling her how much hope she gives to people:

“Well, you said you’re not interested in running for a political office, but your political tweets do give people hope.”

“Is there anything that would change your mind?” Haines asked as she raised a campaign bumper sticker from her lap. The sticker, emblazoned with a star and partial American flag, read: “Clinton Clinton ’20.”

The audience laughed and clapped as Haines tried to get Chelsea to take the sticker. She responded with a political non-answer answer:

“As I have said before, I don’t think being a citizen is something that just happens on Election Day. I think registering to vote and showing up to vote is hugely important. […]

I’m incredibly encouraged by the more than 13,000 young women who’ve reached out to EMILY’s List off the sidelines and others saying they now want to run for office — for city council, for school board, for stage legislator, for Congress.

And so I hope that we will have more women throwing their hat in the ring, and I look forward to supporting some of those women in the future.”

Whoopi Goldberg eventually chimed in: “Yes, Yes. So everybody calm down. It’s not happening in 2020.”
