Bikers Stunned by What Trump Administration Did for Their Memorial Day Ride

Thousands of bikers and spectators gathered in the nation’s capital on Sunday to take part in the 30th annual “Rolling Thunder” motorcycle ride from the Pentagon to the Vietnam War Memorial on the National Mall. The ride is held to raise awareness for prisoners of war and missing in action service members from the nation’s military conflicts.

The mostly military veteran crowd of riders were joined by a high-ranking member of President Donald Trump’s administration, Secretary of State  Rex Tillerson, Breitbart reported.

Wearing a black leather vest, jeans and a ball cap, Tillerson fit right in with the crowd of bikers and seemed completely at ease as he shook hands and posed for pictures while riders gathered for the start of the event.

Tillerson was protected by Diplomatic Security Service members while at the vent. Two security personnel who were assigned as his protective detail also joined in on the ride with motorcycles of their own.

According to The U.K. Guardian, an estimated 900,000 riders and spectators took part in this year’s ride, despite the rainy weather.

Though forgotten military POWs and MIAs remain the group’s primary focus, they have also increasingly devoted attention to a number of other concerns for veterans.
