China’s Official Press Agency Threatens North Korea with Nuclear War

China’s editorial threat against North Korea’s nuclear program shows just how highly things are escalating.

“The editorial also explained the advantages to the world of a Chinese attack on North Korea’s nuclear facilities.

It noted China and the world know the locations of North Korea’s nuclear facilities. Once the PLA attacks these nuclear sites, North Korea will permanently suspend its nuclear weapons programs.
North Korea “has limited resources of nuclear materials and is strictly blockaded in the outside world, erasing the possibility for DPRK to get the materials again.””

Has this situation gone too far to resolve?

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson doesn’t think so.

The Chinese government, following a visit with United States President Trump and Secretary of State, now wnt to talk the tough stance against North Korea that Obama’s administration rejected.

China has decided to stop all coal imports from North Korea for the rest of the year. North Korea depends on coal for the majority of heir national revenue and deals a severe blow to the North Korean economy. This decision comes after Tillerson’s meetings with Chinese officials back in February.

“Coal exports are a primary source of income for the reclusive state. Following North Korea’s fourth nuclear test in February last year, the United Nations Security Council passed UNSC Resolution 2270, which placed restrictions on North Korea’s coal exports but made exceptions through the “livelihood purposes” clause. China has been accused of exploiting this loophole to continue importing North Korean coal in order to reduce international pressure on Pyongyang.”

There’s good reason to hope that things are looking good after eight years of failed presidency.
