Russia Just Responded to Trump Report – Sets Their Sights on U.S. Mainstream Media

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded Tuesday to reports that President Donald Trump shared “classified” information during a meeting with Russians officials, telling people not to read American newspapers.

Zakharova said she turned on her phone and found “dozens of messages” about the Washington Post report.

She wrote on her official Facebook page:

Guys, have you been reading American newspapers again? You shouldn’t read them. You can put them to various uses, but you shouldn’t read them. Lately it’s become not only harmful, but dangerous too.

President Trump admitted to sharing information with Russia during a scheduled meeting, though he never said whether the information was “classified”:

In a subsequent tweet, Trump indicated that he is still determined to find “leakers” within the intelligence community:

Prior to Trump’s early morning tweets, National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster denied that the president shared classified information with the Russians.

“I was in the room, it didn’t happen,” he said.
