Report Says that Israel was the Source of the Classified Intelligence Trump Shared with Russians

President Donald Trump is taking quite ab it of heat for reports that allege he shared classified information with Russian officials.

Trump denies that he has given Russia any intelligence that was classified. On Monday, National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster supported the president’s position on the issue.

McMaster said, in part:

“At no time, at no time, were intelligence sources or methods discussed. And the president did not disclose any military operations that were not already publicly known. Two other senior officials who were present, including the secretary of the state, remember the meeting the same way and have said so. Their on the record accounts should outweigh anonymous sources. I was in the room. It didn’t happen.”

The question is where did the intelligence come from?

According to NBC News, the source of the classified information was Israel:

Israel was the source of ISIS-related intelligence that President Donald Trump shared with Russia last week, according to three government officials with knowledge of the matter.

Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer did not confirm where the intelligence came from but said in a statement that his country “has full confidence in our intelligence sharing relationship with the United States and looks forward to deepening that relationship in the years ahead under President Trump.”

There was no immediate comment from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who met earlier in the day with the new U.S. ambassador to Israel, David Friedman.

President Trump has yet to make any comment on the reports that he shared classified information given to his administration by Israel.
