Laura Ingraham: Someone in Intel Community Wants to Hurt Trump

Fox News contributor, Laura Ingraham, believes there is someone “burrowed” in the intelligence community who wants to hurt President Trump.

The radio talk show host and Editor-in-chief  of Lifezette believes the report claiming that Trump disclosed classified intelligence to Russian envoys last week points to an ulterior motive by those opposing the president’s agenda.

“There is someone burrowed into the intel community, at least one person, who wants to hurt Trump,” she said on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday. “They want to hurt Trump before he goes overseas for this historic series of meetings that no president has ever tried to undertake. That’s what’s really happening here.”

Ingraham slammed what she called the “egregious feeding frenzy” by the media and even some in Congress following the report in Monday’s Washington Post claiming the president openly revealed classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador during a meeting at the Oval Office last week. Not only has Russia denied the “fake news,” Trump himself tweeted a response defending his “absolute right” to share the information.

“We’re at a point where the media and certain critics of the president want him to stay off narrative and stay off message,” Ingraham noted. “He’s about to leave on this historic trip to the Middle East, to Rome, the Vatican. This is a big deal trip and anything they can do to knick him up and scar him up before he goes over there, they will do.”

Ingraham discussed the importance of stopping the leaks in the Trump administration, noting that what the president did in the Oval Office is not criminal while the person while the person who leaked information about the meeting did commit a crime.

“The leaks inside this administration are hurting both their functioning and the security of this country,”she said.

“This problem continues to plague this administration,” she added. ” Whatever they need to do to stop irresponsible leaks or disgruntled employees from rushing to the media, they ought to do.”
