Exposing Hillary So She Won't Get Elected

Hillary Snarks the Criticism of Her Comments in French Election Tweet

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton decided to celebrate on Sunday in light of the victory of Emmanuel Macron in French presidential election. She took to Twitter after the election, tweeting out the following:

Within the parenthetical, Clinton is referring to the criticism of her interview last week with Christiane Amanpour, her first since losing the 2016 presidential election.

In the aftermath, it was framed as her passing all of the blame for her loss to Russia and FBI Director James Comey.

During the interview, Clinton did insist that she “was on the way to winning until a combination of Jim Comey’s letter on October 28 and Russian [hacking of emails leaked to] WikiLeaks.”

That line did get a majority of the press, but she also added this statement moments later:

“So did we make mistakes? Of course we did. Did I make mistakes? Oh, my gosh, yes. You’ll read my confession and my request for absolution. But the reason why I believe we lost were the intervening events in the last 10 days.”
