Democrats Sing to GOP on House Floor After Vote to Repeal Obamacare Passes

The first step was taken Thursday to repeal Obamacare, as the House passed the American Health Care Act by a very narrow margin of 217-213. The move still has to overcome several hurdles to get turned into a law, especially once it enters the U.S. Senate. This latest legislation is also precarious for Republicans in swing and blue states.

Democrats wanted to rub in this point as it was clear that the GOP healthcare bill would pass the House.

As the final votes were being tallied, Democrat members of the House sang and waved at the GOP reps. They sang “Na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye,” taunting their fellow congressmen for the risky move.

The passage of this bill makes for a much needed legislative win for the GOP and for Trump, who promised that he’d repeal and replace Obamacare in the first 100 days of his administration.

Well, I suppose being a few days off the mark isn’t too bad.
