Rupert Murdoch’s Sons Might be the Real Reason Behind O’Reilly Being Fired

Rupert Murdoch’s sons allegedly pressured their father into firing Bill O’Reilly.

James and Lachlan insisted, based on reports, that their father kick O’Reilly out after the TV personality was accused of sexual harassment, New York Magazine reports.

While Lachlan was initially hesitant to fire O’Reilly, sources say his wife persuaded him to his brother’s side.

Fox News has seen a decline in their ad-revenue since O’Reilly was accused of sexual harassment and advertisers boycott the network while protests flood the streets outside headquarters.

“It’s worse than Glenn Beck,” an insider said, referring to Beck’s decline in 2011 after advertiser’s also turned from him.

Meanwhile, a source says even female employees at Fox are taking up arms in the wake of another sexual harassment allegation, referencing Megyn Kelly’s allegations against Roger Ailes.

“Morale is awful,” one Fox female executive  said. “There’s been no word from management to calm the masses.”

British media regulator Ofcom will determine if the family is “fit and proper” to close such a deal in May. It is believed distancing themselves from O’Reilly may help win the tide in their favor.

Despite all that has happened, O’Reilly has maintained his innocence.

“This law firm has uncovered evidence that the smear campaign is being orchestrated by a far-left organization bent on destroying O’Reilly for political and financial reasons,” alleges Marc E Kasowitz, attorney for O’Reilly. “That evidence will be put forth shortly and is irrefutable.”

O’Reilly’s release his departure has sparked controversy all over the internet.

“They are making a huge mistake capitulating to unfounded accusations,” wrote one Daily Mail reader. “It just goes to show that his sons have a vendetta, and like most liberals, are just out to claim a scalp after a devastating and pathetic loss in the real power game.”

“Unfounded accusations?,” shot back another. “Fox paid out $13 million to settle lawsuits filed by his accusers. You don’t settle for that type of money unless there’s some ground for the claims.”
