After North Korea Threatens to Strike, China Has Now Gone on High Alert!

It would seem, according to multiple sources, that China is raising its military preparedness in response to a recent threat from North Korea.

According to The Daily Caller, China has put the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) land-attack, cruise-missile capable bombers on “high alert.” This move is made in an attempt to “reduce the time to react to a North Korea contingency.”

Thursday saw North Korea threatening a “super-mighty preemptive strike” via The Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party.

Reuters reported that the statement in the Korean newspaper continued with the following:

“…it will completely and immediately wipe out not only U.S. imperialists’ invasion forces in South Korea and its surrounding areas but the U.S. mainland and reduce them to ashes.”

President Donald Trump has been supportive of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s reaction to the threats on Thursday:

“[S]ome very unusual moves have been made over the last two or three hours,” the president stated during a news conference Thursday, continuing by saying that he felt certain that President Xi would “try very hard” in dealing with the escalating situation.

This latest action of China’s comes on the heels of raising tensions between North Korea and China and the U.S. This past weekend saw a failed missile test launch by North Korea, and, more recently, the nation’s ambassador to the United Nations delivered some strong verbiage during a press conference.

Vice President Mike Pence has even said that the U.S. “will not rest” until North Korea has been divested of its nuclear weapon capabilities.

All of this comes just days after a celebration in North Korea that featured the burning of the American flag and an animated video showing missile raining down in the United States.
