Easter weekend became particularly violent for certain parts of the United States. a Cleveland, Ohio man went on a rampage and live streamed the murder of an elderly person, who he shot in broad daylight on the sidewalk.
Steve Stephens still remains at large and authorities around the nation are hunting him down, but now news is coming out about another shooting spree in Illinois, where 29 were hit.
The killer claimed on Facebook to have killed 12 people and did not plan on stopping until he heard from his mother. One one fatality was confirmed as the 74-year-old pedestrian shot on live stream, but he is still at large, armed and dangerous.
Meanwhile, in Chicago, 29 people were shot in less than 18 hours, and the city is waiting to hear from their mayor, but he has been strangely silent.
“In total, 34 people were shot over the Easter holiday, and 23 people were shot over a seven-hour period between Saturday night and Sunday morning,” according to Truth Feed.
Instead of addressing the crime issues that plague the city, Emanuel insists on maintaining the Sanctuary status, only exacerbating the problem. His own citizens are dying at a shocking rate.
“The lone death over the weekend happened early Sunday morning. One man shot at two other men, one of whom succumbed to wounds on the head and neck later at Mount Sinai Hospital, according to authorities,” Daily Caller reports. “A 14 year-old boy was shot after two males came up to him midnight Sunday. They fired at him and a bullet hit the boy in the arm. He was taken to a hospital and is said to be in stable condition.”
It seems that Emanuel is so focused on going against President Donald Trump’s immigration reform that the citizens are the ones who will have to pay the price. He has the chance to better his community, but ignores them and lets the problem escalate.
